QUALIFICATION
He missed out on automatic selection for London 2012 by one tenth of a second. However, as he had twice broken the 'A' standard qualification time within the last 12 months, the GB swimming selectors chose the 100m butterfly specialist as back-up for the relay team meaning they could also select him for the individual event. "It still hasn't sunk in, it's all a bit surreal at the moment. It's like living in a dream world, but in a few weeks' time I'll realise I'm racing at the Olympics. It's been such a rollercoaster year for me, failing at the first trials, then coming back and training again, at least it's good that I've ended on a high."
