Sport Specific Information
When and where did you begin this sport? In 2002 after she moved to Edinburgh, closer to the velodrome in Meadowbank.
Why this sport? She chose to design something cycling related for her fifth year design project as she was a keen cyclist. One day while admiring the Maryhill Basins someone pointed out the shapes were similar to that of a velodrome. A friend said her brother was a cyclist and he took her to the velodrome at Meadowbank in 2000 where she took a number of pictures. She returned a month later to try it out.
