||She trains for up to four hour a day, six days a week. The training includes six sessions on the mat, four cardio sessions and four weight training sessions.
||She dislocated her elbow in November 2014 and then tore the lateral collateral ligament in her right knee in January 2015. Later in 2015 she tore the medial collateral ligament and meniscus in her left knee when two girls fell on her leg during a training camp. (ckom.com, 07 Mar 2016)

She was diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age and had to make extra effort to keep up in school. She has since graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada with a degree in kinesiology. She credits wrestling with helping her graduate university by teaching her time management skills and motivating her to improve. "It took me seven years to get a four-year degree. It is challenging [being a student-athlete]. It's a little more time consuming than just being a regular student in my opinion."
