RETIREMENT AND COMEBACK He retired from international hockey in 2004 before making a comeback in 2006 for the World Cup. He was called back into the national side again in February 2009, along with a number of other previously discarded senior players, after being blacklisted by the Pakistan Hockey Federation for skipping national training camps. He was named in the squad again in 2010 for the year's two major events - the Commonwealth Games in India and the Asian Games in China.
