MALAYSIAN FIRSTS
In October 2002 at the Asian Games in Busan, South Korea, he and Roslan Rossharisham became the first Malaysian divers to win Asian Games medals, claiming bronze in the 3m synchronised springboard event. He also added the country's first individual diving medal to his list of honours, winning the 3m springboard event. Four years later, his silver medal in the 1m springboard event at the 2006 Commonwealth Games was the first medal won by a Malaysian diver at the Commonwealth Games.
