FOUR-TIME OLYMPIC VETERAN Singh has competed at four Olympics, spanning 24 years. He first competed at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles in the mixed trap event, when he was 18. He then competed 12 years later at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, this time in the men's trap. Following this he competed at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympics, both times in men's trap. This makes him one of India's most senior Olympic athletes. (hindustantimes.com, 14 Nov 2009)
COACHING CAREER As well as competing in trap shooting, Singh is also a shooting coach. He is currently coaching young Indian trap shooter Kynan Chenai, who won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Youth Games. (thehindu.com, 25 Oct 2008)
SHOOTING CHARACTER Singh was coached by former Australian Olympian, Russell Mark. Mark had high praises for Singh and his career. "Mansher is a very popular member of the international shooting fraternity and has made close friends across the globe. A fine sportsman, he's modest in victory and gracious in defeat," Mark said.
