DISQUALIFIED
In 2007 at the Cincinnati Open she became only the second player in over 30 years of the WTA Tour to be disqualified from a match, after she appeared to hit a ball towards a group of opposition supporters in the stands after losing the first game of the third set. The ball bounced off the wall in front of the fans and remained inside the court, but the match referee defaulted her for 'unsportsmanlike conduct'. "I still don't understand why they defaulted me. I'm really upset. I've never seen in my life anyone defaulted in this situation. I had no warning. I didn't hit the ball at anybody. I didn't swear at anybody. I didn't throw my racket."
