Other information RELOCATION
She moved in early 2003 from New Plymouth to Hamilton because the three hours in travelling time to and from New Zealand's top training facility at the Waikato Gun Club was limiting her training to one session a week. The expense of the sport was also a factor because she was leaving her job with Olex Cables in order to attend university and had been forced to apply for thousands of dollars in grants and loans to keep competing. The move to Hamilton also meant she would be closer to the New Zealand Academy of Sport and its sponsors. (windwand.co.nz, 14 Feb 2003)

BREAK FROM THE SPORT
She took a break from the sport at age 17 but six years later, in 1998, she realised there was an opportunity for her to go to an Olympic Games. So she made a comeback to competition. (New Zealand Herald, 19 May 2004)
