MOVE TO NEW ZEALAND After being impressed with New Zealand when South Africa toured in 1999, she decided to move there with her husband and 16-month-old daughter in 2000. BRUSH WITH THE LAW She had to take out a mortgage on her home in 2010 to pay fines, lawyers and remedial costs after she and her husband were fined 15,000 New Zealand dollars for illegally clearing gorse from their former property in Upper Hutt. The couple were charged with breaching the Resource Management Act. "My husband and I are such law-abiding citizens and hate to be in trouble for anything," she said.
