Other information DOUBLES
At the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow she will be participating in doubles as well as the usual singles. "The Commonwealth Games is the only event where we play doubles, so we pretty much go three years without playing and that means plenty of practice from about a year out to get used to it again. I really enjoyed playing with Jenny [Duncalf] in Delhi [at the 2010 Commonwealth Games where they won the silver medal] and this time around I've been practising the mixed doubles as well as the women's, so I'm looking forward to seeing how I improve over the next few squads. It is also a different feel building a relationship with your partner, as we are so used to playing on our own. It's important to communicate well and remember you have someone to share the load with." (lep.co.uk, 31 Jul 2013)

DAVID LLOYD LEISURE
She has a strong association with the David Lloyd Leisure Centre in Chorley, England. She began working as a receptionist at the centre to fund her travel costs when she was a junior. After she became a professional she was given a complimentary membership at the facility, and often trains there. In July 2012 they dedicated a squash court in her honour. “I am very grateful for the support David Lloyd have provided me throughout my career over the past 10 years. It is a real honour to have a court named after me here in my home town.” (davidlloyd.co.uk, 16 Jul 2012)

COURTCARE OPEN
She and her brother decided they wanted to plan and run a tour event. She was inspired to run an event after competing in the Cleveland Classic in Cleveland, OH, United States, wanting to recreate the atmosphere of that tournament. She decided to hold the tournament at her home club, the David Lloyd club in Chorley, England, and found a sponsor for the tournament in CourtCare. (squashsite.co.uk, 22 Jan 2013)
