Training Regime "It varies dramatically depending on whether I'm in heavy training, or if I'm taking things a bit easy in the build up to a competition. Conditioning training will be two sessions a day, 10 or 11 sessions a week, split between the gym and the track. But when I move into competition phase it's quality as opposed to quantity, all about making sure I don't put in my best performances on the training track. I want to be fresh."
When and where did you begin this sport? He began the sport at Middlesborough Athletics Club.

UPS AND DOWNS
Despite having broken the British record a number of times and won medals at international events, he still feels fans have not seen the best of him. "My career's been a rollercoaster ride. I've got a world indoor silver and a European bronze medal and I've been to two Olympics, but in the lead-up to the last Olympics and last year's world championships in Daegu, I was injured. If I can stay in one piece then I can maybe fulfil my potential - that's what I really want." (metro.co.uk, 22 May 2012)
