OUT OF RETIREMENT In 2009 she came of retirement after several weeks away from the sport. Upon returning she won the European country title in Dublin, Ireland. She achieved despite training only 40 minutes per day. (telegraph.co.uk, 13 Dec 2009)
MAIN REGRET She concedes that she regrets not qualifying for the Olympic Games, as she failed to make the 2000, 2004 and 2008 squads. She missed the times for the 10000m event by just seconds - Sydney 1.27 seconds, Athens 0.14 seconds and Beijing 4 seconds. (uka.org.uk, 16 Dec 2008) |
