INTERNATIONAL EXCLUSION In June 2005, he was excluded from India's national squad for three International Table Tennis Federation [ITTF] Pro Tour events in favour of lower ranked player Pathik Mehta, whose inclusion was rumoured to be because his father was wealthy enough to finance his trips to Chile, Brazil and the United States to play the events. The Table Tennis Federation of India [TTFI] defended its position, saying that Chakraborty's exclusion was actually a result of his form being affected by poor fitness and attitude.
