The British Olympic Association's mandatory lifetime Olympic ban for drugs cheats was overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, allowing him and other Great Britain drugs cheats to push for selection at the 2012 Olympic Games. AMERICAN FOOTBALL OFFER
Shortly after being banned from athletics competition due to doping he moved to the United States, where in 2003 he was approached by US agents to play American football. "I could earn five million US dollars a year as a professional football player and all the agents tell me to give them a call if I change my mind, but my heart has been in athletics for so long and I am totally committed to it. If I played football it would be just for the money, my heart would not be in it, and I have come too far in trying to pursue throwing and I want to take it as far as I can. I don't really know anything about the game but I see the guys hobbling around on crutches every day and that puts me off." (ananova.net, 23 Aug 2003)
