DISRUPTED TRAINING Mishra, along with her Indian swim team, were caught up in a conflict between the Swimming Federation of India [SFI] and the Sports Authority of India [SAI] in early 2010. The swimming camp, which was based at the Balewadi sports complex, Pune, had to be disbanded due to poor facilities. The swimmers had hoped to relocate to Bangalore but were denied by the SAI. As a result, all swimmers, including Mishra, did not train. The article highlights: "talented swimmers like Arjun J.P and Richa Mishra have been badly hit and at present are training nowhere".
