| Other information | 2010 COMMONWEALTH GAMES She did not join Team Tanzania for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in India because of confusion surrounding her travel arrangements from Italy, where she was training. The club she was training with were to pay her ticket directly to India and not through Dar es Salaam as instructed by the Tanzania Olympic Committee [TOC]. The TOC said that they would not incur the expenses for athletes travelling separately. She said that "It is not true that I turned down [the opportunity] to represent my country in the Commonwealth Games, but I failed to report on time due to reasons that were unavoidable. But they moved swiftly to cancel my name and that pained me a lot because I laboured to attain the games' qualifying marks."
