| Other information | RIO TRAINING NON-SELECTION He lost his Australian Institute of Sport [AIS] funding in 2015, was overlooked by the Cycling Australia elite track cycling training program and has claimed on his social media accounts that the organisation has advised him to retire from the sport. With the selection process for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro pending, he was again overlooked for 2016 World Championships in London, England, and a training camp in New South Wales, Australia, in April 2016, effectively ruling him out of Rio. "I'm not being put down by losing my contract then not being selected for the world championships, not being invited to camps, not having any communication. I guess at the end of the day Australia wants to put the best riders we have on the track in Rio, so I would hope in this next six months that the door is still open for me."
