Other information SIBLING RIVALRY
She competed against her sister, Dorothy, as both aimed to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. "I placed second to my sister, Dorothy, and had the great privilege of going to the Olympics as part of her support staff. This was one of the most valuable experiences of my competition career. It gave me a new perspective on performance, and a new respect for the stress of being a coach. Target shooting taught me to always find the learning opportunity, so even in the throws of loss at the Olympic trials, I grasped the opportunity to view the Olympic Games from a lens athletes don't usually get." (canadianshootingstars.com, 2016)

SPORT AND CAREER
She studied engineering and says she sees parallels between sport and the subject. "I went into engineering because I love maths. Engineering and shooting have a lot in common. There is a direct correlation. In engineering, when you're dealing with a problem, you're going to look at the big picture and figure out how it all fits together and then break it down into individual parts so you understand how everything works. In shooting it is very similar." (tokyo2020.org, 12 Nov 2020; olympic.org, 13 Jul 2018)
