Sport Specific Information
Why this sport? She chose to design something cycling related for her fifth year design project as she was a keen cyclist. One day while admiring the Maryhill Basins someone pointed out the shapes were similar to that of a velodrome. A friend said her brother was a cyclist and he took her to the velodrome at Meadowbank in 2000 where she took a number of pictures. She returned a month later to try it out.
