APPEALING ATHLETE He was initially left off the Great Britain squad for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, but was invited after lodging a successful appeal. He was left off at first because he did not meet the UK Athletics standard of hitting two 'A' qualifying standards in 2011 and 2012, missing a second one by just .20 seconds at the 2012 European Championships. But the appeals panel decided that his times were good enough to warrant selection. (dailypost.co.uk, 06 Jul 2012)
LIBRARIAN He works as a librarian at the University of Wales. (cardiffaac.org, 01 May 2010) |
