She temporarily quit lawn bowls in 2007 for three years to pursue her tertiary studies and hoped to mark her return to the sport with a second Commonwealth Games gold medal at the 2010 Delhi edition. "I missed playing competitive lawn bowls and I'm happy that on my return I've been picked for the Commonwealth Games," she said, adding that it took about three months for her to "get back in the groove of things".
