He and Chandigarh Dynamos team-mate Baljit Singh were involved in a road accident in Chandigarh in January 2006. His car collided with an out of control vehicle coming from the opposite direction and he and Singh both suffered minor head injuries. PHL RUNNER-UP He captained the Chandigarh Dynamos to the runners-up spot in the 2006 edition of the Premier Hockey League [PHL]. After helping the Dynamos to the first division title in 2005, he nearly went one step further in 2006, but the Dynamos eventually lost out on the main prize, going down 2-1 in the best-of-three finals series to the Bangalore Lions. ADDITIONAL He was part of the squad that won India’s first ever Junior World Cup in 2001, thrashing Argentina 6-1 in the final in Hobart, Australia. Earlier in the year, he had also been part of the India team that won the inaugural U18 Asia Cup in Ipoh, Malaysia, beating Uzbekistan 7-0 in the final.
