Other sports Before taking up basketball she played netball at a high level in Jamaica. She was so successful in the sport that she was recalled to the Jamaican national team in 2006. She had not played for the national team for three years while she was studying in the USA but she came to the aid of the national team in the lead up to the 2007 World Netball Championships.
