EXPERIENCE COUNTS She is one of the most experienced gymnasts in the British team for the 2012 Olympic Games, having taken part in three world championships, four European championships, two Commonwealth Games and other major international events. (thegamesandbeyond.com, 2012)
FUNDING She was forced to give up full-time training when her funding was withdrawn in 2009. In January 2012 she and three other British Olympic medal hopefuls were awarded Olympic Solidarity Athlete Scholarships by the IOC.
