APOLOGY
In January 2012 she had to apologise to UCI president Pat McQuaid after calling him "a bit of a dick" in her response to McQuaid's suggestion that female cyclists do not deserve the minimum wage. She said she was sorry for how she phrased her comments but believes women cyclists deserve better support for their hard work.
