Why this sport? He started swimming and was introduced to triathlon by his dad. At age 13 he realised why he was in front after the cycling leg but always came in last. He was a good cyclist but not a runner.
He chose the track discipline because he was never very good at endurance.

Sport Specific Information
Training Regime He trains almost every day, about 20 hours a week total. He goes to Manchester to train most weekends. He will ride for four hours, only stopping for lunch, and then after a short break go to the track and practise standing starts to build up strength in his legs. When he can't go to the track or out on the road he practises on a turbo-trainer at his house.
When and where did you begin this sport? He started cycling at age 13 [2006] at Discovery Juniors Cycling Club.
