Why this sport? |
He previously competed in athletics, including in the 4x100m relay at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, but after failing to make the Canadian team for the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, he began to focus on a career in electrical engineering. He still kept himself fit, so his coach suggested he should try bobsleigh. "In my [athletics] career there have been so many missed opportunities. I never really got to achieve what I truly believed I could achieve. Whether it was injuries or technicalities, I just got left with a bitter feeling, which is probably why I was so quick to jump on this. I feel like bobsled is an opportunity for me to redeem myself." |
