RETIREMENT She retired from competitive diving in July 2020 after sustaining a shoulder injury. "It's still in so much pain and it's time I listened to my body. In my mind I just couldn't keep doing this. I openly talk about seeing a psychologist and about the medication I was on to help with my anxiety and depression because mental health is so important. Fighting the demons in my head is exhausting so I'm ready to let my body feel normal physically and mentally." (bbc.co.uk, 06 Jul 2020) |
