In July 2012 she became the first Seychellois athlete to win a medal at an athletics world championships when she won a silver medal in the high jump at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Barcelona, Spain. Just by qualifying for the final she had already become the first Seychellois athlete to reach the final of any athletics event at a world championships.
