He became the first person representing Jamaica to win a medal in the 110m hurdles at both the Olympic Games and world championships when he claimed bronze in London in 2012 and silver in Beijing, People's Republic of China, in 2015. In 2014 he became the first Jamaican to record a time below 13.00s in the 110m hurdles when he ran 12.94s at the Diamond League event in Paris, France.
