TOUGH TIMES He came close to quitting the sport in 2016 after his employer, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India [ONGC], decided to not renew his contract. He found it difficult to cover his training costs as his father was the only member of his family that was earning a salary. However, he then met coach Amrish Kumar, who motivated him to persevere.
